Due to the highly customized, engineering-intensive nature of our hardware operations and digital delivery services, our refund policy is strictly defined below to protect the integrity of our engineering labor.
1. The $299 DFM Diagnostic & Feasibility Review
The $299 fee for the DFM Diagnostic is a flat rate for a digital engineering service.
Non-Refundable: Once you have uploaded your files and our engineers have commenced the audit process, the fee is 100% non-refundable.
Exceptions: A full refund will only be issued if we determine, prior to starting the diagnostic, that your files are corrupted, completely out of our manufacturing scope, or if we fail to deliver the report within the agreed timeframe (typically 3-5 business days).
Credit: If you proceed to order mechanical tooling and production or PCBA prototypes through us based on the DFM diagnostic, the $299 fee may be credited toward your production invoice.
2. Fractional Supply Chain VP for NPI Execution ($4,900+/mo Subscription)
This is a month-to-month retainer for dedicated engineering and operations management.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Notice must be provided at least 7 days before the next billing cycle.
No Prorated Refunds: We do not offer prorated refunds for mid-month cancellations. You will continue to receive dedicated service until the end of the current paid billing cycle.
3. Tooling, PCBA, and Mass Production Costs
Payments made for physical manufacturing (e.g., cutting steel for injection molding, purchasing IC components, SMT assembly) are passed directly to the factory floor.
Once raw materials are purchased or tooling has commenced, these funds are strictly non-refundable.
Any defects or quality issues regarding physical goods will be handled via the specific Rework/RMA (Return Material Authorizations) clauses defined in the separate Master Manufacturing Agreement (MMA), not this general website refund policy.
4. Dispute Resolution (Chargebacks)
If you are unsatisfied with our service, you agree to contact us at hello@dfmfoundry.com to seek a resolution before initiating a chargeback with your bank or Stripe. Fraudulent chargebacks for delivered digital reports will be contested with full audit trails and IP access logs.
